The Pathankot police have cracked the whip against illegal mining and registered a case against eight persons engaged in unauthorised excavation of sand and mining material in the Chakki river.

Vikas Surjewala, Project Director of the NHAI for the Pathankot-Mandi road project, says that a consultant for the realignment of the Pathankot-Mandi four-lane road in Gaggal has been appointed.
