Southbourne Bowls Club is a mixed club located in West Sussex and is one of the few in the County to have an outdoor all weather green of six rinks available for use all year. The green officially opens mid April and normally enjoys uninterrupted play until closure in late September. During the Winter the Club provides outdoor social bowling with the 'Polar Bears' and indoor Short Mat bowling as an affiliated Short Mat Bowling Club. Although a small club in terms of membership, Southbourne has enjoyed it's share of County and National successes. Recent initiatives have been very successful at attracting both newcomers and experienced bowlers to the club, however, Southbourne still has plenty of capacity for new members and would be more than pleased to welcome you should you be looking for a change or new challenge. The Bowls Club offers a full range of bowling for both the competitive and social bowler. These include County and Club matches, internal competitions and leagues, Friendly fixtures and Roll-ups.
