Hi Barbara, we have just opened our Interpretive Center; however, we aren't finished yet. It is an educational experience and will give the visitor the facts as to what happened in 1838. The Interpretive Center will provide visitors with a personal sense of the hardships, sacrifices, and loss of heritage that the Native Americans were forced to endure. By experiencing the Pulaski, Giles County Trail of Tears Interpreative Center, visitors will be inspired by the challenges faced by Native Americans; live the daily experiences endured on the trail, and celebrate the spirit of a proud people. The Interpretive Center is connected to Pulaski's extensive greenway system, and there are also two historic graveyards that are beautiful to stroll through. concreted sidewalks where you can walk the Greenway that connect to two historical cemeteries and an overlook where you can see the bridge abutment from the original bridge that the Native Americans crossed. The City of Pulaski, located in Giles County Tennessee, has the unique distinction of being the only city in the country where two major Trail of Tears land routes overlapped. I realize that this message from you dates to 2017; however, we hope you and your group will join us. If you need to talk with us, please call me at 931.580.3789.
