A- It is near The Ridge on Jakhu Hill. It should be a nice place to stay. It is at centre of Shimla. You can walk to Jakhu Temple, walk in Jahku Hill area. Come down to The Rigde and The Mall at your convenience. And also if someone can tell about clothes we should carry for the july 1st week trip A- If it rains, you should have one without sleeve sweeter for each person. For kids tale caps. Or you can buy from there if you feel cold.

Go to The Mall, The Ridge, Scandal Point, Church, Lakkar Bazzar etc. 4-7-19 -Take half day taxi to Indian Institute of Advanced Study & Viceregal Lodge, Annandale Ground & Annandale Army Heritage Museumin the morning. Come to Tme Mall area for food, shopping or take rest. Go to Jakhu Temple via Ridge in the evening around 4.30pm. Take Govt. Taxi to go up to Jakhu Temple. 10/- per person one way. Beware of monkeys. No eat able, glasses, spectacle outside. 5-7-19 take half day taxi to Tara Devi Temple. Rest time on The Mall to see Gaity Complex, Johnnie Wax Museum, Lakkar Bazar 6-7-19 Take full day tour of Kufri, Naldehra, Tatapani or Full day tour of Narkanda.

Gomes, weather would be pleasant as you will be going in October, you sure check forecasting before going, however as I have been there as it's started monsoon, I don't find any challenge to explore places as shimla is well accessible. Now talking about point of interest, kindly note that all attraction places is under 500 merters surrounding. The Ridge, Mall road and Church is next to each other. You could have dinner to Alfa restaurant, we tried Chinese and it vers really yummy. And little more, do visit khadi centre to buy shalws or himanchli Cap which is in round shape and most popular as it look really good on men and one can carry with Jeans well. Do let me know in case you need more details. FYI- tourist information centre is situated at Moll road towards right side.
