Somewhere I saw something that said you should book tickets for the castle online - like a time slot specifically- and then pay when you arrive. Is this true? Can I not just walk up and get entry? I ask because I can’t find anywhere to buy such tickets online. And I will be taking a day trip there so I don’t want to mess this up either lol.

We were there on day trip and just went to the castle when we arrived and paid the 6€ admission. No issues.

I don’t know the times. If you contact the castle the ticket office is on site.
How can I get to Rocca Scaligera from Venice? Would I take the train to Densenzano Del Garda or, Peschiria Del Garda? If I do take the train, how would I transfer from the train to see the Rocca?

We took the train to Densenzano. It was on a Sunday so there may be a different schedule on weekdays. Then took a taxi to the Spa. There may be public transport but can't help you …
