We did not stay at the hotel. We had arranged for a guide who drove us there and we purchased the tickets once there. The festivities started around 11:30 or 12:00. While waiting for the events to start we shopped at the vendors that are situated on the grounds. At the start of the tour we first went into an auditorium where they showed a short film and then the village guide talked some about the village. The guide was great, very engaging. He then took us on a tour of the various African villages that were set up. At each village, the guide talked about the customs of the tribe, etc. Following this tour we went into another auditorium where we saw singing and dancing which was great - the performers were excellent. After which we went to the dining hall where we feasted on excellent African cuisine. We were probably there 4 hours and truly enjoyed - would highly recommend.
