Did you have to buy tickets to see the Fly Geyser and where did you buy them and how much was the cost? I have read it is on Private land, is it quite common for people who visit Gerlach to want to visit there? All the websites I have read and searched say its hard to get to go and visit. I live in New Zealand and it would be wonderful to go and see it. Any information you have would be gratefully received.

The cost is $40 per person, which is a donation to the organization, but you can also ask for a refund (I suspect that’s a rare request). Once you are there, it’s about a mile or so walk to the geyser, with several stops along the way for talks from the guides. At the end you have at least twenty minutes around the geyser to take photos. It’s an easy and beautiful walk.
