I realize the gardens close at 5pm, but if I'm already there, can I stay past 5 pm? Or do I need to leave the grounds at 5pm?

Are the gardens wheelchair assessable in all parts? I require a wheelchair if I stand or walk over a certain amount of time. If not, are there benches to rest on during a walk through the gardens?

They have invested a lot in the past couple of years to make more of the grounds handicapped accessible. But not all of it could be managed alone. That being said there are beautiful seating areas that are all over. Most are very imaginative designs and hopefully can be appreciated by everyone. Given that it is winter and Chanticleer is closed for the season - you might want to check these 2 books at the library - "The Art of Gardening" and "Chanticleer: A Pleasure Garden". Both are full of beautiful pictures of the garden (taken before the handicapped features were put in) Enjoy.
