The Observation Wheel is set to be open for the Miss America Pageant introduction ~ it's a video where each of the contestants says hello onscreen and says things about their selves/state. So they're aiming for this. And yes, the Observation Wheel is supposed to be a yearround attraction. There is the already typed about heat pumps and on the roof is air conditioning. Try looking at Steel Pier on Instagram there is a photo of Sunday where there was 2 gondolas affixed and Thursday where all the gondolas were in place
